Who we are

MinVei (Norwegian for "My Path") is an independent, non-profit project aimed at helping asylum seekers in Norway understand where they are in the asylum process and know their rights. We are not a government body and do not represent UDI, NOAS, or any official organisation. We are a group of developers and volunteers who believe that clear information should be available to everyone in their own language. The information provided here is general and educational only, and is not a substitute for specialised legal advice.

Local-first by default

Your data (country, arrival date, status) is stored only on your device in localStorage. It is not sent to any external server by default.

No tracking or personal analytics

We do not use Google Analytics or any tracking tool that collects personal data. We do not know who you are and do not want to.

Anonymous IP

When using the AI assistant, an anonymous context (no name, phone number, or stored IP) is sent to generate the response.

Full deletion at any time

You can delete all your data from the device at any time by pressing the 🗑️ button in the dashboard. No trace remains.

No mandatory registration

The app works entirely without creating an account. An anonymous sessionId is used only to link your conversations to your current session.
